Femme paper by GF Smith, 2025

In the UK design industry women in graphic design earned 1.7% less than male graphic designers in 2024. Research suggests that female identifying designers are largely disproportionate to their male identifying colleagues.

I researched how women in the field feel about the inequalities and how they felt that we as the design industry needed to improve.

Femme paper by GF Smith is a concept for a series of paper samples by a well known paper company. The samples would be sent to CEOs and creative directors and be engaging to the receiver whilst highlighting the real issues of gender inequality within the design industry and promote active change.
